I am an instructor with over seven years of experience including curriculum development, scheduling and managing in a variety of formal and informal settings. I provide a safe and open learning environment empowering students to experience and explore their own learning style with a variety of information streams and individualized support. I am looking to apply technology to motivate and connect students while providing a novel and flexible learning experience.

Independently developed and instructed physics and math courses for up to twenty adult learners resulting in very positive student feedback

  • Provided individualized support for students after hours and during break times to increase student success

  • ‘Flipped the classroom’ by compiling resources of various media streams to alleviate class time for higher order learning activities

EDUCATION MANAGER

MakerLabs, Vancouver, BC        2017 – 2019

MakerLabs is the largest makerspace in Vancouver that offers public access to tools including woodshop, metal shop, welders, laser cutters, CNC, sewing machines and 3D printers. MakerLabs also has a fabrication team for projects by contract.


Coordinated all classes that occurred at the makerspace including the development of curriculum and managing instructors, attendants, classrooms, workshops and tools

  • Acted as the first point of contact for questions with regards to general help, design and tool troubleshooting

  • Hired and trained various instructors, four community managers and my replacement education manager

  • Supported the fabrication team by meeting with clients and undertaking fabrication projects to ensure all deadlines were met
